Karen Pickering is a lunch lady, shoe salesperson, mom, writer, comic, wife, your bff. She was forced to return to comedy by her kids or they wouldn’t go to college. She placed 4th in the Funniest Person in MN contest, opened for Erica Rhodes, Ian Lara, Josh Blue. Karen coproduces the smash hit show, Day Drinking With Mom. She’s a Boston transplant with a sharp tongue and a warm heart unless you are going 40 in the left lane.
Tom Swifty has been called “an avid indoorsman,” “surprisingly wholesome,” and “Poindexter.” A comedian and rapper whose mom thinks he’s cool, Swifty has made nearly $209 performing standup over the past decade.
Jeff Pfoser owns two minivans, enjoys top-shelf root beer and prefers eating breakfast food for dinner. A charismatic family man whose relatable stories take surprise twists and turns, Pfoser combines impromptu commentary with astute observations of both the magnificent and the mundane. A Stand Up! Records recording artist, he’s appeared in the Boston Comedy Festival, the Fargo Comedy Festival, Minneapolis’ 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festivals, and Mexico’s Akumal Comedy Festivals.
Eric James has been performing in the midwest for a decade. With a comedic style described as “dry with a silly side” think of one of those nerds that work at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival talking about Love, loss and cake in this mundane world. No slouch Eric once took 8th place in the funniest person in Coon Rapids contest…(we don’t know what that means either).
Mackenzie Diggins went to her first open mic in October 2019. Somehow she stuck with it through the pandemic and has now been doing standup for over three years. She is also an actress, having appeared in over 30 theater and film projects in the twin cities. She also enjoys dance, playing guitar and piano, and reading (alternating between smart people books and utter trash). During the day she is a paraprofessional at an elementary school.
Justin Johnson is a 24-year-old, Minneapolis-based, ethnically ambiguous, joke-slinging, musical funnyman with social anxiety from Riverside, California. He lifts your hearts and minds with absurd and hilarious jokes and songs, about various topics ranging from relationships to Doordash. None of them are about milk. Yet. He started doing stand up comedy in college, and immediately fell in love with the endorphin rush of the stage. He was a finalist in the 2022 Funniest Person With a Day Job Competition at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy at the Mall of America. You can find him bringing joy and confusion to crowds all over the Twin Cities and surrounding area. When he’s not telling jokes or serenading strangers, he doesn’t really do much. He likes to walk around sometimes, I guess. He also loves pudding.
Lukas Ramsey is a comedian based out of the Twin Cities. He was a semi-finalist in the Sisyphus comedy contest and performs throughout the state. He also produces a variety show called Ramble On! When not performing, he is an avid illustrator and muralist.
